The Moroccan diaspora is meeting in Paris on Thursday 15 October 2026. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., an after-work event will bring together around one hundred participants. On the agenda: networking, entrepreneurship and community initiatives.

The event aims to bring together Moroccans living abroad and to strengthen ties between members of the community. It also seeks to encourage exchanges between France and Morocco.

A key meet-up for the Moroccan diaspora in Paris

The gathering is being organised with the participation of the Morocco unit of the Haut Commissariat des Diasporas Africaines de France (HCDAF – High Commission of African Diasporas of France).

The goal is straightforward: bring together a wide range of profiles around shared projects. Participants will be able to present their initiatives and share their experiences.

At the same time, discussions will help create new professional contacts. The organisers also want to connect people living abroad with those who maintain strong ties with Morocco.

Three speakers at the heart of the event

Several speakers will take part in this after-work in Paris.

Rachida Kaaout, president and founder of the HCDAF, will share her experience in mobilising African diasporas.

For his part, Abdessamad Akrache, president of the association Tahara and coordinator of the HCDAF’s Morocco unit, will focus on community-based and solidarity initiatives.

Lastly, Nadia GoodVibes, the driving force behind the platforms “S’installer au Maroc” and “ND Liens”, will provide her insights. She supports people who are preparing a life project or planning to move to Morocco.

Thanks to these complementary perspectives, the meet-up will cover several dimensions of diaspora engagement, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship, solidarity and support for projects.

Entrepreneurship, solidarity and shared experiences

The evening will give a central place to personal stories. Participants will be invited to talk about their journeys, the obstacles they have faced and the successes they have achieved.

In parallel, discussions will highlight civic and community projects. Each person will be able to present their initiatives and look for future partners.

Networking will also play a major role. The organisers want to make it easier for entrepreneurs, professionals and association leaders to meet.

In this way, participants will be able to identify new collaboration opportunities, share their skills and expand their networks.

A free event, by registration only

The after-work will take place on Thursday 15 October, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The venue is in the Rue de Londres area, close to Saint-Lazare railway station in Paris.

Attendance is free of charge. However, anyone interested must book their place in advance via the Weezevent platform.

The number of participants is limited. This format is designed to encourage meaningful conversations and maintain a friendly atmosphere.

The Moroccan diaspora, a bridge between France and Morocco

Moroccans living abroad maintain strong economic, social and cultural links with their country of origin. Their international experience can also help transfer skills and know-how.

These journeys can contribute to creating projects that connect several countries. The meeting in Paris is part of this broader perspective.

By bringing together people with different backgrounds, the organisers hope to encourage new collaborations. A key aim is to turn contacts made during the evening into concrete initiatives.

This after-work therefore seeks to strengthen ties between the Moroccan diaspora, community organisations and professionals, while opening the door to new projects between France and Morocco.
